“Dr. Chantalle grew up on a cow-calf farm in Elma, MB and she spent her summers growing up working with the cows and working the fields. On the farm there was never a shortage of livestock or pets, albeit cows, horses, pigs, dogs, cats, or rabbits. This is where her life-long passion for livestock and companion animals developed.
Dr. Chantalle graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Science from the University of Winnipeg in 2015 and graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine with a DVM in the spring of 2019. She was lucky enough to attend the Cornell Summer Dairy Institute, an advanced training program for prospective dairy veterinarians in the summer 2019. She spent an intensive 6-weeks there learning from experts in dairy production medicine from all over the world.
Although, Dr. Chantalle enjoys working with animals both large and small, her favorite part of veterinary medicine is dairy calf health, and transition cow management. Dr. Chantalle had been a student with us at BAH for 3 summers throughout her journey of veterinary college, and started with the clinic as a veterinarian in May 2019.
Outside of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Chantalle enjoys swimming, fishing, archery, camping, and horseback riding.”

I grew up on a farm near Steinbach Manitoba and always enjoyed when the vet came to the farm – I became interested in veterinary medicine because of those visits. I received my DVM from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. It is an extremely exciting and challenging career; it’s never the same day twice. Our family has a small herd of Dexter cattle, several guinea pigs, 2 rabbits, 1 donkey, 2 dogs, 1 cat, several hermit crabs and various fish.
Our family moved to Beausejour in 2001. While I enjoy all aspects of mixed animal practice, my area of interest is dairy production and medicine.
My interest in veterinary medicine began when I was eight years old and my dairy 4H leader told me I should consider being a veterinarian. Growing up on a small farm in Salmon Arm B.C. gave me a chance to become familiar with a wide variety of livestock – we raised cattle, chickens, turkeys, horses, rabbits and pigs, and we always had a yard full of cats, dogs, and other creatures! As I progressed through school, I realized that my love for working with animals blended perfectly with my interest in medicine. In 1997, I graduated from Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. My career began out in Alberta, first in Barrhead, then in Leduc after marrying my vet school classmate, Claus. We moved to Beausejour in 2001.
The years have flown by, and we now have three boys, all of whom enjoy the adventures created by a life centred around veterinary practice!
I was raised on a mixed farm (beef cattle and grain) in the prairie grain belt near Eston, Saskatchewan. My grandparents lived in the same yard and helped raise my sisters and me. My grandfather made sure we always had plenty of western pleasure horses to ride and took us to horse shows and trail rides when I was young. Of course, there were always plenty of barn cats, and through the year, a wide assortment of dogs on the farm as well! I think my love of animals was fostered from a very young age and probably heavily influenced by my Grandpa Cal.
I graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 2005 and have been working steady ever since. I started out at a busy mixed practice in Sundre, Alberta for my first 2 years. I enjoyed being in “cattle country” with a view of the Rockies. However, a certain guy in my life eventually drew me towards Manitoba. Eric and I both started working in Beausejour, MB in the spring of 2007 and are happy to call it “home” now. We got married here in 2009 and have definitely put down some roots!
I graduated from Red River College’s Veterinary Technology program with honours in 2018 and I joined the Beausejour Animal Hospital in May 2021. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine with a special interest in dentistry, anesthesia and exotics. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family including my two dogs-Benny and Lexi. I am pleased to be working with a team that provides excellent patient care.
My love for animals has grown even more since graduating from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Manitoba in 2018. I began working at a mixed animal practice while waiting to be accepted into the Veterinary Technology program at Red River Polytechnic. I graduated in June 2023 and began working at Beausejour Animal Hospital after completing my final practicum here.
I enjoy working in a mixed animal practice that shares by love for client education and even though I enjoy working with all animals, large animal medicine has a special place in my heart.
I graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Red River College in 2012 and started working for Beausejour Animal Hospital in 2022. I have a passion for working with large animals, especially pigs but also love dentistry and dental radiology.

I have always enjoyed being outdoors and around animals. As long as I can remember, I have wanted to be in the agriculture profession. I decided to become a mixed animal Veterinarian in my first year of University.
I enjoy spending time with my wife Amanda, training my dog Scout, curling in the winter and helping family on the farm.
I grew up around mainly large animals my whole life. I worked on a farm for 5 years and fell in love with beef and dairy farming. I completed the Veterinary Office Assistant program through Robertson College in 2020 and began working at Beausejour Animal Hospital in March of the same year. I have one rescue pup named Texas Jaxon and love seeing all the cute fur babies that come through the clinic.
Originally hailing from Winnipeg, I pursued pre-veterinary medicine at the University of Manitoba before embarking on a journey to South Africa for six years of veterinary school, graduating as a veterinarian at the University of Pretoria in 2022. Along the way, I worked closely with a diverse array of wildlife, including rhinos, elephants, chimps, sloths and wildebeest as a few of my favourites!
After an incredible adventure, I have returned to Manitoba to practice as a mixed animal veterinarian. I have a love for all animals, great and small, but I hold a special interest for the cattle, swine, small stock and equine sectors.
Outside the clinic, you can find me cheering on my softball team, indulging in camping trips, curling up with a good book, swinging on the nearest hammock and strolling in my newfound home of Beausejour.
I graduated in 2020 from the Red River College Veterinary Technology program. I love working with all kinds of animals but cats and cows are my favourite! I enjoy every aspect of my job but drawing blood and running lab work are definitely the highlights of my day. Outside of work, you can usually find me at the lake enjoying the sun on the deck or doing some backwoods camping with my boyfriend and dog-Toby and Tucker.
I grew up in Wisconsin before heading to St Olaf College in Minnesota for my undergraduate degree. After that, I did some travelling, and what began as a 4 month trip to work in Ireland ended up as a 13 year stay there. During my time there, I earned a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing from University College Dublin in 2009 and then returned to UCD to graduate with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2016. I was fortunate to work in a variety of practices there, including rural mixed animal and emergency medicine.
My husband, who is a native Manitoban, and I decided to move closer to home after I graduated from UCD. We moved to southeastern Manitoba in 2016 where I worked in a rural mixed animal practice until I joined Beausejour Animal Hospital in January 2023. I love many aspects of veterinary medicine, including small animal dentistry, emergency medicine, and where I can, small ruminant medicine and surgery. I also find working with veterinary and veterinary technology students very rewarding.
In my spare time, I enjoy escaping to the cabin to spend time in the wilderness, gardening, and hanging out at home with my husband, daughter, and our two cats.
